Poland - Warsaw

Day 187 - Friday, July 27

I didn't get to Warsaw until after 10pm. Shortly after checking into Oki Doki, Karolina's friends and I went out to Platinum Club, a full on club with dancing and djs and such (see the website for photos, if you're really curious) As I was promised, we sampled some Polish vodka. Perhaps too much Polish vodka, because it was definitely very bright outside when I returned to the hostel at some point between 4 and 6 AM.

Day 188 - Saturday, July 28

After staying out a bit late, I didn't get going until about midafternoon, but went out and explored a bit of Warsaw around the hotel. A photo:

Day 189 - Sunday, July 29

I was planning to stay another night in Warsaw, but the hostel was full, and since I was packing everything up anyway, I figured I'd just move on to Krakow. I took an afternoon train, which gave me a bit of time to explore before heading out. I opted to rent a bike, so that I could see as much as possible in the little time I had left in the city. First, the old town:

Then across the river to check out Warsaw's "beach," which is a sandy riverside, where basically no one swims because the water is quite dirty.

And then to Warsaw's floating palace:

It was a great couple of days in Warsaw, which wasn't as bad a city as some had warned.
